Enable Geolocation

Prerequisites

Before you enable the DLP features, make sure that Active Directory Certificate Services has been set up.

You can use the Geolocation feature to find the last known location of your protected devices. It can be used with any device that has wi-fi enabled.

When Geolocation is enabled, you can use Endpoint Cloud to locate a device and it will display the last known location on an embedded Google map.

You can enable or disable the Geolocation feature on a Policy. If you enable it, every device that uses that Policy and has wi-fi enabled can be located by using Locate Device in Endpoint Cloud.

To enable or disable Geolocation on a Policy:

  1. Display the Policy Editor for the Policy that you want to change (click Policies and then click on the Policy).
    Note

The Policy Editor is displayed automatically when you create a new Policy.

  2. Click the DLP tab.
  3. Use the Geolocation slider to enable or disable local encryption (green is enabled, grey is disabled).
