Unable to activate this device!


After a device has been discovered and assigned to a Team that has a Policy and a Vault assigned the device cannot be activated.

How to identify the problem

When trying to activate a device that has been assigned to a team you will see the following popup.


What caused this problem?

The cause of this problem is still under investigation.

How do I resolve this problem?

  • Delete the affected device from the inventory view.
  • Restart the Discovery agent service on the endpoint or wait as the Discovery agent will report to the cloud every hour.
  • Once the device is rediscovered and appears in the inventory screen, assign it to a team that has a Policy and Vault assigned.
  • Activate the device

Check if the problem has been fixed

If the problem has been fixed successfully, then the device will move to the Pending tab after it was selected for activation.
