How do I verify that a device received an activation token?

During the device activation process the device will receive an activation token from Endpoint Cloud. If the token is not received then successful activation will not be possible.

When should the device receive an activation token?

The token should be received by the online device immediately after the device was activated from Inventory on Endpoint Cloud.

Where should I check that the device received an activation token?

If the token was received successfully then it will exist in the %appdata%\Roaming\Cibecs\Discovery location for the logged-on user.


What do I do if no activation token file exists in the location specified?

  1. Check that the device is able to communicate with on port 443
  2. Check that the Discovery Agent service is running on the device
