The Inventory page shows information about the devices that Endpoint Cloud has discovered. This information includes details about each device, the amount of data discovered, and the protection status for each device.
If the Inventory is empty, your Endpoint Cloud has not discovered any devices yet. You need to install the Discovery Agent on each of your devices and make sure that they have an Internet connection.
The Devices Discovered panel provides a summary of the devices that have been discovered.
|The total number of devices that have been discovered (activated devices + at risk devices). Below the total number is the number of users. In the image above, Endpoint Cloud has discovered 21 devices and 19 users.
The number of discovered devices that have been activated.
Devices that are activated are either being backed up and protected or are waiting to be backed up and protected. When you first activate a device, its status is set to activated, but the activation does not begin until the next backup occurs.
Below the activated number is the number of users that have had their devices activated.
The number of discovered devices that have not been activated and so are not protected or backed up by Endpoint Cloud.
|The number of licenses currently being used and the total number of licenses you have available.
The Devices Activated panel provides information about the devices that have been activated (set to be backed up and protected).
|The total number of devices that have been activated and are currently backed up and protected by Endpoint Cloud.
The number of discovered devices that have been activated but are not yet backed up and protected by Endpoint Cloud. They will become active when the Protection Agent is authenticated successfully.
The number of discovered devices that could not be activated. An activation can fail if the Protection Agent failed to download and install or if the user is not authenticated with Active Directory.
|The number of discovered devices that have not connected to Endpoint Cloud in the last 30 days.
The Data Discovered panel provides a summary of the types of business data that Endpoint Cloud has found on your devices. By default, it shows the Files with a summary of the file types and the amount of storage space required to back them up.
If you click on Locations, the panel provides a summary of the various places where the business data is found on your devices. It also provides details of the storage space needed to backup each location.
Teams Side Bar
On the left side of the Inventory page is the Teams side bar. This shows a list of the Teams that are set up in your Endpoint Cloud (plus All Devices and Unassigned, which are built-in).
If you click on a Team, the Inventory panels and list updates so that it only shows information for the devices in the selected Team. You can click on All Devices to set the Inventory to show data for every device.
The bottom section of the Inventory shows the device list, which contains a summary of the devices that Endpoint Cloud has discovered.
|The name of the device.
The name of the user associated with the device.
Shows the device status:
|Activated (green check icon)
|Pending activation (yellow clock icon)
|At risk (red warning icon)
|Failed (red fail icon)
|The Team that the device is assigned to.
|The amount of business data discovered on the device.

By default, the device list shows information for All Devices. If you prefer, you can click Active to view only the activated devices.
If you highlight a device in the list, an option button ( ... ) appears to the right of the device name. Click on the option button to display a context menu with these options:
|Displays the Device page, which contains details about device, including its hardware and software.
Use to activate the device so that Endpoint Cloud will start to back it up and protect it. You can only activate a device if it is assigned to a Team and the Team is assigned to a Vault and a Policy.
Use to assign the device to a Team. Endpoint Cloud can only backup and protect devices that are assigned to Teams, as the Teams have to be associated with a Vault and Policy.
|Use to delete a device.
Device Side Bar
If you click on a device in the device list, the device side bar appears. It shows extra information about the selected device. If you click on the View icon on the top corner, Endpoint Cloud shows the Device page, which contains a more in-depth view of the device, including its hardware and software.
At the bottom of the Device side bar, there are icons for performing a manual back up of the device, revoking it, wiping it, and using geolocation to discover it.
You can use the device list to apply a single action to multiple devices. For example, you could assign multiple devices to the same Team.
Use the checkbox on the left of each device row to select a device. When you select the checkboxes, the action options appear at the bottom of the list. These work in the same way as for single devices, except that the action will apply to every device you selected.
