Description

There are 5 components that makes up Endpoint Cloud. Here is a list of all related services.

Endpoint Cloud Portal

There are no services related to this always online Cloud Portal for Administrators to manage Endpoint Cloud.

Discovery Agent Service

The Discovery Agent (DA) is installed to discover the device and add it to the Inventory. 

Service Display Name: Cibecs Discovery Agent Service
Service Name: DiscoveryAgentService

Protection Agent Service

The Protection Agent (PA) is automatically installed once a device is activated.

Service Display Name: Cibecs Endpoint Cloud Agent Service
Service Name: DiscoveryAgentService

Vault service

The Vault is the database where the backups are stored.

Windows:
Service Display Name: Cibecs Endpoint Cloud Private Cloud Vault
Service Name: Vault Service

Linux:
endpointcloud-vault-service.service

Connector Service

The Connector does AD Lookups and Key Management to approve activations.

Stop and Start the services

In windows, open an elevated command prompt and type net stop <Service Name> to stop a service. To start a service net start <Service Name>.

In Linux, the Vault service can be stopped and started with sudo systemctl stop endpointcloud-vault-service and sudo systemctl start endpointcloud-vault-service.
