Connector - Overview

The Connector is an application that Endpoint Cloud uses to authenticate your user accounts. It connects to your Microsoft Active Directory and allows Endpoint Cloud to:

  • Identify each Microsoft user account
  • Identify the devices that are associated with each Microsoft user account
  • Automatically create matching users and devices in Endpoint Cloud
  • Authenticate connections from devices to Endpoint Cloud.

You should install the AD Connector on a domain-joined Windows server that is on your business premises. You also need to register the AD Connector so that it can connect to Endpoint Cloud.
